The board expressed excitement for the future and to be working together with Bill. He is a great addition to the board’s efforts to grow their fundraising opportunities in 2021.
As a former Palm Spring’s Police Officer he dealt with underprivileged and at-risk children every day and has specialized training in dealing with special needs and traumatized individuals. Bill now owns his own business, Williams Enterprises. Bill’s experience in public policy and community leadership is extensive. He has served as Assistant Emergency Services Coordinator for Cities of Palm Desert and Indian Wells, Police Department Team Lead for Disaster Services Team, Field Training Officer Department of Justice Firearms Instructor and Riverside County Emergency Operations Center Certified Manager to name a few.
In stating what drew him to Variety, “I am VERY active in the community and I have been a resident of the Coachella Valley since 1978. I have enjoyed community involvement as a volunteer, with other not for profit organizations, and after volunteering at the bicycle presentation last year, I wanted to take the next step in being involved with Variety Club and it’s mission to make a difference in the lives of children.”
