Hello Variety Friends and Family! 

It is exciting to open the door to 2020 and look ahead to all that is in store for Variety – the Children’s Charity of the Desert and our friends and family in the upcoming year!  

The beginning of a year is like beginning a new chapter in a story and I am looking forward to partnering with the community to ensure that 2020 is a chapter in Variety’s history which impacts many children through bicycles and helmets, reading programs, specialized adaptive bicycles, strollers, medical equipment, mobility events, and so much more!  

The Variety Board of Directors as well as members of our of team of staff and volunteers are working diligently to ensure we are positioned to meet the needs of the children of the Coachella Valley who are challenged by economic disadvantage or are living with special needs. We are expanding our partnerships with area nonprofits to ensure the needs of children are identified, recognized, and met. New opportunities to serve Coachella Valley children are ahead of us and we look forward to partnering with you to reach them!

I’d like to share with you a few photos of some new friends I made recently when Variety was honored to partner with Prolacta Bioscience to provide tricycles and helmets to 12 children who live with autism. The joy on the faces of these children is sure to bring a smile to you! What a great start to 2020 this way!
