Since 1987
Variety Children’s Charity of the Desert has spent more than four decades helping children with disabilities and developmental challenges live healthier, more independent, and more inclusive lives.
Through life-changing programs, adaptive equipment, developmental services, and family support, we work to remove barriers and create opportunities so every child can experience the joys of childhood and reach their fullest potential.
As a proud chapter of Variety – the Children’s Charity, an international nonprofit founded in 1928, we are part of a global network dedicated to improving the lives of children in need. While our mission is shared worldwide, our focus remains local—serving children and families throughout the Coachella Valley with compassion, innovation, and hope.

Variety Children’s Charity of the Desert is proud to be recognized as a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).
This designation reflects our ongoing commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive experiences for children and families. Our team has completed specialized autism training and is equipped with best practices to better support autistic individuals with understanding, compassion, and confidence.
